Unbreakable British Resilience and Heroism against all odds - Fitting for VE Day!

In 1565, one of the greatest battles in history took place—The Great Siege of Malta—where a handful of British knights, alongside their European allies, held back the full force of the Ottoman Empire.
At the heart of this battle stood Sir Oliver Starkey, an English knight of the Order of Saint John, who played a crucial role in the defence. The Ottoman Sultan, Suleiman the Magnificent, sent 40,000 elite warriors to crush the small Christian garrison of just 6,000 men. The odds were impossible.
For four months, the defenders endured relentless bombardment, starvation, and brutal combat. The British knights, fighting shoulder to shoulder with their brothers-in-arms, refused to surrender. Despite overwhelming numbers, they held firm, inspiring their fellow warriors and shocking the Ottoman forces with their defiance.
At the battle’s peak, when the walls of Fort St. Elmo collapsed and all seemed lost, the British and their allies fought to the very last man. Their sacrifice bought time for reinforcements to arrive. When Christian forces finally landed, the Ottomans—who once seemed unstoppable—fled in humiliation.
This victory changed the course of history. Had Malta fallen, the Ottomans would have used it as a launching point for an invasion of Europe, and Great Britain itself could have been at risk. But thanks to the courage of a few, the tide was turned.
Malta, the land of free. Not constrained by the Islamic edicts that infest the whole region and beyond.
Fast forward almost 400 years to World Ward II and still that British tough resilience shone through. Never wavering in the face of defeat, the British held their nerve so many times and one can only assume it is within their DNA to stand proud, with courage to defend against the wrongs.
It was not Great Britain that invaded Europe but Nazi Germany including the Italian Fascist support and the Ukrainian Nazi supporters. Should we fly Ukrainian flags during our VE Day celebrations, many British citizens born and bred in these Isles will disagree yet many will agree based on what our Main Stream Media tell us under the instruction from the British Military GCHQ and Private Secretaries instructions to Government.
This is what it means to be British—to stand in the face of impossible odds and never surrender. To defend what is right, no matter the cost. Let us remember those who came before us, and be proud of the unshakable spirit and British resilience of Great Britain.
